Sara Aqeel

A qualified lawyer with diverse experience in legal, academics and corporate governance fields, which includes serving as an independent director on the board of a listed company. Certified from Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance and enrolled with the SECP’s independent director’s databank. Currently, serving her second term as an independent director on the board of Nishat Mills Limited and chairperson of human resource committee of the board. A partner in the business venture Sheikh Fuels, which was setup twodecades ago in collaboration with PARCO GUNVOR LIMITED (Formerly TotalParco Pakistan Limited), the second largest oil marketing company in Pakistan. Holds a Jaishi Ram Gold Medal in Bachelors of Law. Legal experienceby virtue of working an Associate at Ramday Law Associates, a reputable lawfirm based in Lahore. Handled legal issues pertaining to the corporate affairs in general, with a specific focus on the financial sector. In addition, taughtat Pakistan College of Law as a permanent faculty member and remained acoordinator at PCL for the external program of law offered by the University of London. Over the years participated in a number of skills training coursesprimarily focused on international law, human rights and comparative jurisprudence.
